Girls Weekend

Ava and mommy went on our first annual Girls Trip to Dallas with mommy's best friend from high school and college, Kara and her daughter Katelin. Actually the annual girls' trips have been around for about 5 years, but have only recently included children. Boy have objectives and itineraries changed now that these adventurous girls have entered the picture.

Used to be finding the best hotel to stay in so it was easy access to all the hot spots and prime shopping areas. Now, we needed to make sure we were located conveniently close to the American Girl doll store and as always, good shopping. Having the girls join us this year was so much fun and very tiring.

Katelin is almost 4 years old and just like her mom, a FABULOUS shopper. She and Ava will get along great during future girls weekends, which will be so neat to experience with them.

Here are the girls posing with w/ what Ava deemed as "Amanda" in Old Navy. Miss Aves insisted I take a picture of her with the mannequin and was truly happy to hug her. Katelin was such a great sport and appeased Aves, something of which occurred pretty frequently on said weekend. The girls are just so CUTE together!
All 4 of us! The girls posing on stage after watching a 45-minute puppet show of "Cinderella and the Stinky Slipper".
Kara and Katelin at the American Doll store enjoying brunch. Oh and Savannah made her debut as well, sitting beside Katelin.

Ava roaming around the store looking for photo opportunities. Can't say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree there. We had such a whirlwind weekend; shopping, eating, swimming, puppet-showing, shopping, and eating some more. So much fun and we can't wait to get together again next year!

So cute. I love mannequins too. I have gone up to 2 now, and asked them to pick me up! =)) Giving them a hug like you Ava would have definitely been the friendlier thing to do. What a fun Girl's Weekend!
